No Sound since update
#1
Hello,

I did an update that poped up when i booted the box. It changed the way the settings looks, so im sure it did something.
Every since this update I lost all sound. The sound has been lost everywhere including main menu and kodi. It appears to be a universal issue.

Could someone either tell me how to fix this or provide me with the original firmware so i can roll back?

Thank you

Notes:
Android version showing up is 5.1.1
The setting menu looks completely changed it is now all black with small icons, no longer the simple setting menu that i had before.
I received a notification for a system update and did it.
HDMI cable is fine it was tested on another device and works fine.

I am in the same boat... same issue for me since OTA update... prior the box was working great and I was very happy with its function.... I have tried on multiple tvs and cables so I know it was the update but I am not tech savy enough to fix it without someone holding my hand and telling me how to, I am sure I could figure out how to flash a drive but I need to know what to flash to fix it...

Interestingly, on one TV, if I unplugged the hdmi cable from the box and then plugged it back in, I got sound... but it did not stay.. if I rebooted the box or powered off the tv, the issue started all over again..

I liked the box when I got it and thought it was a lot of bang for the buck, I cant say that I am much of a fan right now, but I would like it to get it working again

It says d32.userdebug 5.1.1 LMY49F eng.melvin.20170106.152406 test-keys.

Ive never flashed a box so I dont really know what I am doing, I downloaded the file but I am off to work so I will have to attempt the update/rollback later... I will post my luck after... Is there instructions in the file?  Or would anyone share me a forumn link to instructions?

thanks

There is a text instruction included in the link file. And here is a firmware update video instruction of DOLAMEE D5 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ig9NpIpr4xo, you can take it as a reference.

I had the same issue. Can this be flashed via SD card?

You could also try this custom firmware that comes with the added benefit of having auto frame rate adjustment.

Could someone provide me with a number for customer support. The sound on my device stopped working, and I am nowhere near technical enough to do the rollback thing. The video is in CHINESE!!!! I am EXTREMELY unimpressed with this piece of garbage product.

I managed to do it, it really is simple if you have 10 minutes.

1. Download the firmware provided in the above post https://mega.nz/#!p1A1iL6I!lhNGsmAKY9Tjj...mAzbUgAXc4
2. Download Factory Tool 1.3.9 https://androiddatahost.com/c9vum
3. Download Rockchip drivers https://androiddatahost.com/c9vum
4. Open Factory Tool
4a. Unzip and select Firmware ISO
4b. Use toothpick and press reset button found inside the AV Port (you will hear a click)
4c. Connect USB Cable as the reset button is being pressed
4d. One of the ports will respond and show up a number inside Factory Tool (you can release reset button at this time) now press RUN at the top and you will see progress and a confirmation for Success.
Once this is done, you will be rolled back.
